Abstract - Otiorhynchus (Metopiorrhynchus) thoracicus Stierlin, 1892 new synonym of O. (M.) varius Boheman, 1842 (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Entiminae) - The synonymy of Otiorhynchus (Metopiorrhynchus) varius Boheman, 1842 with O. (M.) thoracicus Stierlin, 1892 is here proposed, since it is established that the latter is nothing but the male of O. varius, a species previously considered exclusively parthenogenetic.
