Abstract - The presence of the Greater Capricorn Beetle, Cerambyx cerdo Linnaeus, 1758 and the European Stag Beetle, Lucanus cervus Linnaeus, 1758 in the “Cascine di Tavola Park”, which belongs to the SIR/SIC/ZPS IT514001 “Stagni della Piana Fiorentina e Pratese”, is reported for the first time. Cerambyx cerdo is considered a vulnerable species in the EU, and is listed in the Annex II and Annex IV of the Council Directive 92/43/EEC. Lucanus cervus is considered near threatened in the EU and is listed in the Annex II of the Council Directive 92/43/EEC. Some management suggestions are proposed about the critical conservation issues which persist at the finding site.
