Abstract - Paratrechus isabelae, new species from Colombia and synonymic note for Trechisibus zorgatii Trezzi, 2016 (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Trechinae) - The new species Paratrechus isabelae is described from Colombia. It was collected at high altitude (4500 m) on the Colombian Andes, in the Central Cordillera, at the Nevado de Santa Isabel glacier. Outer morphology, chaetotaxy and female genitalia allow diagnosis and comparison with the related species.
Trechisibus zorgatii Trezzi, 2016 was recently described from Argentina, Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia, Martial Glacier (550 m), collected by Philippe Zorgati. The place and its fauna is well known to entomologists, and the discovery of a new species put in doubt the locality datum. Only after the article publication, I became aware that the collector had also visited Lapataia, Bahia Ensenada Zaratiegui, Ushuaia, on the sea, where Kenodactylus audouini (Guérin-Méneville, 1830) lives. After careful comparison of the two taxa, it was obvious that they were synonyms, i.e., Trechisibus zorgatii Trezzi, 2016 = Kenodactylus audouini (Guérin-Méneville, 1830).
