Abstract - Three new species of the genus Loxoncus Schmidt-Göbel, 1846 are described from continental Africa: Loxoncus schuelei n. sp., L. similatus n. sp., L. trochantericus n. sp. Illustrations of the habitus, drawings of the male genitalia, as well as distribution maps of the new species are provided. Moreover, the following systematic changes are proposed: Stenolophus amoenulus Péringuey, 1896 is a true species, not a synonym of Anoplogenius angustatus Chaudoir, 1878, which is a junior synonym of Stenolophus agyzimbanus Fairmaire, 1868.

Abstract - A new species belonging to the genus Domene Fauvel, 1873 (subg. Lathromene Koch, 1938) from Portugal (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Paederinae) - A new Domene (subg. Lathromene) is described from an abandoned mine in northern Portugal: Gruta Maria Isabel (Vila Real, Campea). The new species appears different from the others known for the exoskeleton and aedeagal characteristics as well. Unusual the great development of the aedeagal ventral lamina, in lateral view very long plough - shaped, and in ventral view parallel-sided (sides also sinuous) spearhead - shaped. The ventral lamina is very protruding from the body of the median lobe of the aedeagus, and it is the largest and the most prominent among all the known Iberian Lathromene species, together with Domene (Lathromene) orense Struyve, 2018.

Abstract - Notes on Otiorhynchus (Lixorrhynchus) gracilis (Gyllenhal, 1834), with establishment of the new subgenus Italorrhynchus (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Entiminae) - In the present note it is highlighted how all the Italian species considered belonging to the subgenus Lixorrhynchus Reitter, 1914 of Otiorhynchus Germar, 1822 are clearly different from the type species of the subgenus, O. (Lixorrhynchus) gracilis (Gyllenhal, 1834). Based on specimens of O. (L.) gracilis from its type locality, the Sainte-Baume massif (Marseilles, France), it is evident that the Italian taxa have different habitus, with narrower and longer elytra [length to width elytral ratio > 1.7; ≤ 1.5 in O. (L.) gracilis], the pronotum with sunken areolas (rather than with clearly prominent tubercles), different aedeagus, with the median lobe parallel-sided in ventral view (rather than tapering towards apexes), spiculum ventrale (8th sternite) differently shaped. Hence, I establish for the Italian “Lixorrhynchus” the new subgenus Italorrhynchus, with Otiorhynchus (Italorrhynchus) latirostris (Bargagli, 1871) as type species. The systematic position of the other, non Italian, taxa at present attributed to Lixorrhynchus needs to be clarified, though I think that most of them belong to the new subgenus.

Abstract - The Mediterranean Reicheiina with vanished pronotal prebasal edge, with description of a new genus from Sardinia (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Scaritinae, Clivinini) - The Mediterranean genera of Reicheiina without pronotal prebasal edge are here examined: Alpiodytes Jeannel, 1957; Catalanodytes Sciaky, 1989; Spelaeodytes Miller, 1863; Ichnusodytes Magrini, Fancello & Onnis n. gen.; the last here established for Typhloreicheia nivis Magrini & Onnis, 2018, species recently described from Sardinia [Mount Arcuerì (Nuoro)] [Ichnusodytes nivis (Magrini & Onnis, 2018) comb. nov.]. The study of the male and female genitalia, and exoskeletal characters, does not reveal close phyletic relationships between these taxa. Important discrepancies are found in the descriptions of the monospecific genus Catalanodytes and its type species C. bellesi (Lagar Mascaro, 1971): the superior labrum has 5 marginal bristles, not 3, and the elytral marginal furrow ends at level of the base of the fifth stria, not second. Reflections on the issues regarding the evolutionary developments which have involved the representatives of the subtribe Reicheiina close the article.

Abstract - Two new anophthalmous Otiorhynchus from northern Sardinia belonging to the subgen. Cavernodes (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Entiminae) - Two new species of Entiminae belonging to the genus Otiorhynchus Germar, 1822, subgen. Cavernodes Bialooki, 2015 are described. Though geographically close, the two taxa, collected in a small series of specimens, are well characterized, and easily distinguishable from each other and from O. (C.) degiovannii Magrini & Consorti, 2005 (also geographically close) as well, and even more from the Cavernodes from Corsica and the northernmost Sardinian O. (C). doderoi (A. Solari & F. Solari, 1904).

Abstract - Comparative morphological and morphometric description of two pairs of rare artificial F1 hybrids from parentals of species belonging to the genus Dynastes MacLeay (Coleoptera, Scarabaeideae, Dynastinae, Dynastini) - Two pairs of artificial rare F1 hybrids - Dynastes hercules Linnaeus x Dynastes neptunus Quensel in Schönherr (Hybr 1), and Dynastes satanas Moser x Dynastes hyllus Chevrolat (Hybr 2) - together with their tegmina, are described, illustrated and morphologically and morphometrically compared to specimens having similar length and complexion belonging to the parental taxa. Hybr 1 and Hybr 2 exhibit intermediate characters between the parental species, or prevalent characters of one of the parental species. Hybr 1 and Hybr 2 are unique.

Abstract - Ptinus (Ptinus) calcarifer (Reitter, 1888), species new to the faunas of Italy and Turkey (Coleoptera, Ptinidae, Ptininae) - Ptinus (Ptinus) calcarifer (Reitter, 1888) is recorded for the first time from Italy (Umbria, Tuscany, Sardinia) and Turkey (Smyrna). Furthermore, unpublished collecting data from mainland Greece (Thessaly and Peloponnese), and the Island of Crete are given. The species was only known on the type series from Peloponnese.

Abstract - Lathrobium riccardoi sp. n. from Mount Valestra (Reggio Emilia, Italy) is described and illustrated. The species is compared with Lathrobium violii Bordoni & Magrini, 2018 from the not far locality Vetto d’Enza (Tassaro Valley, Reggio Emilia). A distribution map of the glyptomeroid species of the genus Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from the northern Apennines is also proposed.

Abstract - Two new Typhloreicheia Holdhaus, 1924 from central Sardinia, collected in hypogean environment, and definition of two new species groups (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Scaritinae) - Two new Sardinian species from Sarcidano (a cave near Isili, CA) and Barbagia Seulo (a cavity of Mount Arcuerì, near Seui, OG), respectively, Typhloreicheia dewaelei n. sp. and Typhloreicheia nivis n. sp., are described and illustrated. The former is easily distinguished from the already known species for the shape of the aedeagus and its copulatory lamella, the narrow and parallel-sided elytra with numerous small marginal denticles, and other characteristics, which allow to attribute it to a new group of species, that we name the "parallela group", after the first species with these characteristics described: T. parallela (Holdhaus, 1924). The latter is singular for its aedeagus with very narrow, conic, downward bent apex, and very simple copulatory lamella made of a wide lamina with rounded apex; further, integuments are very light, the pronotum is particularly rounded, the elytral marginal groove is wide with denticles up to the apex, elytral striae somewhere vanish; also for this taxon, which presents such characteristics all together, we suggest the creation of a new group of species, the "nivis group", at present monospecific.

Abstract - Preliminary diagnosis of a new Typhloreicheia Holdhaus, 1924 from NW Sardinia (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Scaritinae) - Aim of this contribution is to give the preliminary diagnosis of a new endogean coastal ground beetle of Sardinia - Typhloreicheia argentierae n. sp. -, collected by sieving clay soil in the Argentiera area, on the Nurra coast [Porto Palmas (Palmadula), Sassari], in xeric habitat, by the sea, not so suitable for collecting endogean insects. The new species, based just on a single slightly immature male, shows characters that easily separate it from all the known species of the genus, though affinities are difficult to ascertain owing to the scarcely chitinized internal sac of the aedeagus. The new taxon is so compared with the 4 geographically nearest species: Typhloreicheia raymondi (Putzeys, 1869), Typhloreicheia arganoi Vigna Taglianti, 2001 [the species is photographed for the first time], Typhloreicheia vignai Magrini, 2003 and Typhloreicheia denticulata (Holdhaus, 1924).

Un nuovo Ocys Stephens, 1828 orofilo delle Prealpi Lombarde

Abstract - A new orophilous Ocys Stephens, 1828 from the Lombardian Prealps (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Bembidiina) - Ocys agostii n. sp. is described from Mount Caplone (Lombardian Prealps, Magasa, Brescia). The new species, micropterous and orophilous, can be easily distinguished from the other macropterous species of North Italy through the more rounded humeri, the narrower frons, the deeper interstriae with larger punctures, and the different elytral microsculpture. With respect to the other single orophilous species of Lombardy - Ocys monzinii Magrini & Vigna Taglianti, 2006 - it differs for the more convex body, with almost absent metallic lustre, the more robust antennae, the more convex interstriae, the deeper striae with larger punctures, the longer elytra and the much smaller spermatheca. Among the species of central-southern Italy and Islands, only Ocys gubellinii Magrini & Vigna Taglianti, 2006 (the geographically closest taxon) shares some characters with the new species, like the elytral microsculpture, the short antennae and the dark colour with scant metallic lustre, but it differs for many others: the more flat body, the narrower pronotum, the more angled humeri, the quite larger spermatheca. A map of the Italian species of the genus with limited distribution area is also provided for the first time.

Abstract - Notes on the genus Perucharidius Mateu & Etonti, 2002 with description of a new species (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Anillina) - It is here described the new species Peruchari-dius etontii, second in the genus. It is easily distinguished from Perucharidius andinus Mateu & Etonti, 2002 for the different shape of the median lobe of the aedeagus, its parameres and the ninth urite. Female genitalia are also illustrated for the first time in the genus. Further, Perucharidius andinus is illustrated, measured and discussed.

Abstract - Synopsis of Minisiderus Endrödi bonum genus, differences from the genus Brachysiderus Waterhouse, and description of Minisiderus elyanae Dechambre female (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae, Dynastinae, Agaocephalini) - The genus Brachysiderus - Dynastinae, Tribe III - Agaocephalini - was established by C. O. Waterhouse in 1881. In 1970 Endrödi briefly described its subgenus Minisiderus, based on major morphological and morphometric differences. These differences, supported also by the finding of 5 further species since 1970, allow to upgrade the subgenus Minisiderus of Brachysiderus to the rank of full genus. The parameres of the aedeagus of each of the 10 species belonging to the genera Brachysiderus (1) and Minisiderus (9), drawn from photo enlargements or taken from literature, are illustrated. The female of Minisiderus elyanae Dechambre is also described and illustrated for the first time.

Descriptions of two new species of

Calodromus Guérin-Méneville, 1832 from Indochina

(Coleoptera: Brentidae: Cyphagoginae)

Abstract - Calodromus nonae n. sp. is described based on one male and two female specimens from Laos. The new taxon is closely related to Calodromus bambii Orbach & Bartolozzi, 2017, but can be distinguished by the different shape of the first tarsal article of male posterior legs, and by the distal tubercle of the same article which is shorter than the second metatarsal one. Calodromus chelazzii n. sp. is described based on two male specimens from Thailand and Vietnam. This new taxon is related to Calodromus simplex Heller, 1910 and Calodromus vethi Kleine, 1915, but can be distinguished by the different shape of the first tarsal article of male posterior legs. The female of Calodromus bambii Orbach & Bartolozzi, 2017 is described and the species quoted from Laos for the first time. An updated key for the identification of the males of the known species of Calodromus is also provided.

Stomis philospelaeus, nuova specie di Slovenia

Abstract - Stomis philospelaeus, new species from Slovenia (Coleoptera Carabidae) - A new species of Stomis Clairville, 1806 is described, type locality the Tarnova Forest (Trnovski Gozd) in Slovenia, on the karstic highlands to the east of the Isonzo River, bordering on the Trieste karstic lowlands to the west, and on the Istrian peninsula to the south. The new species belongs to the group of Stomis rostratus (Sturm in DUFTSCHMID, 1812), being its south-eastern vicariant. It is distinguished for its smaller size, the slender and convex habitus, the absence of the scutellar setigerous pores, the different microsculture and other exoskeletal and aedeagal characteristics. Some specimens from other parts of Slovenia attributable to the Stomis rostratus group are also considered and commented by a taxonomic and distributive point of view.
