from the Afrotropical Region
(Coleoptera Carabidae, Harpalinae)

Abstract - The description of a new species of the subgenus Pseudosiopelus Alluaud, 1916 of the genus Siopelus Murray, 1859 from continental Africa is given: its habitus and male genitalia are illustrated. Moreover, maps with the distributions of the new species and the related Siopelus (Pseudosiopelus) pallidior (Burgeon, 1936) and S. (P.) natalicus Péringuey, 1896 are provided.
