No. 61
a brief history

Issue 61 was picked up from printers, as traditional "ink on paper" (color offset) copies, on March 21st, 2016, between March 22-23, 2016, copies were mailed to subscribers all over the world, reasonably copies reached at least Italian subscribers during March, reasonably issue 61, with its contents, was made public during March. The DATE PRINTED on Giornale is March 2016, this is also the true DATE OF PUBLICATION. Several electronic formats, e.g. PDFs, JPEGs etc. of Giornale at High Definition, identical to the traditional "ink on paper" copies, have been also widely distributed. No. 61 is a 288 pages issue enriched by 337 color images.
The main phyletic lines of the Coleoptera are considered. The CARABIDAE, by S. Facchini (Piacenza), describing new African species in the genera Stenolophus, Parophonus, Progonochaetus and Platymetopus; by P. Magrini (Florence), A. Petrioli (Asciano, Siena), A. Benelli (Scarperia e San Piero, Florence), A. Degiovanni (Bubano di Mordano, Bologna), L. Fancello (Cagliari) and C. Onnis (Maracalagonis, Cagliari), treating the genera Duvalius, Dimorphoreicheia, Typhloreicheia and Trechus in Italy; by R. Monguzzi (Milan), for the genera Boldoriella and Duvalius in N Italy; by G. Trezzi (Sesto San Giovanni, Milan), describing a new species of Trechisibus from Tierra del Fuego; by V. Monzini (San Giuliano Milanese, Milan), describing a new species of Stomis from N Italy.
The SCARABAEIDAE, by T. Ochi & M. Kon (Japan), and M. V. L. Barclay (London), describing new SE Asian species in the genera Onthophagus and Panelus; by M. Prandi (Salò, Brescia), describing a new species of Megasoma from Brazil.
The BUPRESTIDAE, by G. Curletti (Carmagnola, Turin), treating the African genus Pseudagrilus; by S. Prepsl (Czech Republic), describing new species of African Acmaeoderinae.
The CURCULIONIDAE, by P. Magrini & A. Degiovanni, describing a new Italian species of Otiorhynchus.
The BRENTHIDAE, by L. Bartolozzi (Florence), describing a new species of Heterorrhynchus from Vietnam.
The STAPHYLINIDAE, by A. Bordoni (Florence) & P. Magrini, describing a new Italian species of  Lathrobium; by R. Monguzzi, describing new N Italian species of Pselaphinae.
54 new species in all are reported.
